Ideal for Halloween and Thanksgiving, these bars are easy to make and taste delicious.
Ingredients
- 4 eggs
- 1 16 oz/450g can pumpkin
- 1 tsp baking soda
- ½ tsp cloves
- 1 cups oil
- 2 cups flour
- ½ tsp salt
- 2 cups sugar
- 2 tsp baking powder
- ½ tsp nutmeg
Icing:
- 8 oz/225g cream cheese
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 tbsp soft butter
- 2 cups powdered sugar
Steps
Preparing the Ingredients
- Mix all of the ingredients together in a large bowl.
- Spread evenly across a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper.
Baking the Pumpkin Bars
- Place in the oven. Bake at 350ºF/180ºC for 20-30 minutes.
Decorating the Pumpkin Bars
- Prepare the icing. Mix the icing ingredients together until well combined. Add a little milk to improve consistency if necessary.
- Spread icing over the baked bar sheet when cooled.
- Cut into bars once the icing has set.
