This sugary marshmallow treat can be enjoyed for any special occasion or sleepover. Have fun dunking this easy dessert.
Makes 1 cup of dipping sauce
Ingredients
- 1/3 cup (6 tablespoons) butter
- 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/3 cup evaporated milk
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
Steps
- Add the butter to a saucepan. Melt it over a low heat.
- Add the cocoa to the saucepan and stir into the melted butter.
- Pour in the milk and sugar. Stir at a constant motion for 3 minutes or wait until the sugar has completely dissolved.
- Let the chocolate sauce thicken and get a "shiny" texture.
- Turn off the heat and remove the saucepan from the stove.
- Measure and pour the vanilla into the saucepan.
- Transfer the chocolate sauce into a small dipping container. You can also use a solid measuring cup. Place the cup on a serving or tea plate.
- Stick skewers in the peeps. Arrange the peeps around the cup.
- Finished.
