Do you always forget where you parked? Google Maps has you covered. The Google Maps app offers a way to remind yourself where you parked.
EditSteps
EditWhen You're Near the Parking Spot
- Enable Location Tracking on your iOS device for Google Maps. Go to Settings, and select Google Maps (almost halfway down the list). Tap the "Location" listing if it doesn't already say either "While Using" or "Always". Select either of these settings. Exit back out tapping the "<Google Maps" button in the top left corner.
- Open the Google Maps app.
- Center your map on your parking spot. You can use the "Location" icon to find your current location, if you are at or near your car. It looks like a target or gun sight and is in the lower right corner of the map.
- Hit the blue dot.
- Select "Set as parking location."
- Look at the parking location. Once set, it will show as a pale blue "P" pin that just says "You parked near here".
- Clear the saved parking spot if desired. When you zoom out on the map, you'll see the pale blue "P" pin that says "You parked near here".
- Select the parking pin. It may take a few tries to hit the right spot.
- When you do, it'll show "Saved parking". Swipe this display up to open the Saved parking menu.
- Hit "Clear" to remove the pin.
