- - A secure, end-to-end encrypted call will be placed because the person you're calling has Signal.
- Wait for the call to connect. If you're making a secure Signal call, it can take a little longer to connect than a normal call because Signal's encrypted calls are sent peer-to-peer and don't go through a central server.
- If you're making a normal unprotected call you may have to press the call button in your phone's calling app to start the call.
