With the "ALS Ice Bucket Challenge" going social media viral, you might be anticipating a challenge (or maybe you were challenged already). Whether or not you pour ice water over your head, you might be interested in donating to the cause. This article will explain how you go about doing so.
Steps
- Visit the ALS Association's web page in your web browser.
- Click the red "Donate" button at the far right end near the top of the page.
- Scroll down until you see the entire "Gift Information" section show up.
- Fill out the "Gift Information". ALS will want to know your name (for tax purposes) along with how much you are willing to give. If you want to give another amount besides 35, 60 or 100 dollar amounts, choose "Other" and type your donation amount.
- Scroll down and type in the applicable information to the "Billing information" section. They'll want to know your name, address, phone number, email address.
- Fill out the payment information below that. Although most often the donation will be by credit card, they also have ACH debits (choose Checking Account) and PayPal donations as well as a newcomer to the system of accepting a donation through the Amazon payment system.
- Fill out the other account details to the payment.
- Click the "Complete Donation" button at the bottom of the page to finish and donate your money to them.
Tips
- If you'd rather not fill out the payment online, ALS also has a printable payment page you must print out and mail to them.
