Spiff up your Converse shoes with a galaxy design to complement your DIY punk rock sensibility!
Steps
- Remove the shoe laces.
- Get the newspaper and place it on the place where you are going to do your project. This will make cleanup easier.
- Tape up the white/rubber area with masking tape.
- Cut the sponge with scissors into 3-4 squares.
- With an old bowl or ice cream lid, put the acrylic paint in/on it.
- Using the sponge, apply the paint. The first two colours are the purple and dark blue, then smudged white paint in to blend the colours for the effect.
- Using a thin paintbrush, paint with white paint simple 4 or 5 line stars or dots.
- Let them dry! It should not take long.
- Take the masking tape off.
- G some kitchen towel or an old cloth and put some dish washing liquid on it and some water. Clean up any paint on the rubber areas.
- Sew the chain on.
- Put the shoe laces on.
- Finished!
Tips
- Do this on a dry day.
- If they are old, wash them first.

- Can get messy!
