"It's quite rare, especially for two kittens, related, to both not have eyelids in either eye. It's a genetic thing," RSPCA spokesperson Jessica Conway told BuzzFeed News.
The RSPCA had to wait until the cats were six months old before setting up surgery, meaning Dora and Felix's carers had to keep the cats' eyes lubricated with drops until then.
