This wikiHow teaches you how to see a list of your downloaded apps on an iPhone or iPad. Keep in mind that this includes free apps.
EditSteps
- Make sure that you're signed into your Apple ID. If you aren't signed into the Apple ID with which you bought iOS apps, you won't be able to see a list of the apps you bought. To sign into your Apple ID, do the following:[1]
- Open your iPhone's Settings
- Tap Sign into your iPhone at the top of the Settings page.
- Enter your Apple ID email address and password.
- Open your iPhone's App Store. Tap the App Store app icon, which resembles a white "A" on a blue background.
- Tap . This tab is at the bottom of the screen.
- Tap your Apple ID profile picture. It's a circular photo in the top-right corner of the screen.
- If you don't have an image set for your Apple ID account, this will just be a silhouette.
- Tap . This option is in the middle of the page. Doing so takes you to a list of your downloaded apps.
- Review your apps. Scroll through the list of apps. This list contains every app which you've ever downloaded while using your currently logged-in Apple ID.
- You can tap the Not on this iPhone or Not on this iPad tab in the upper-right side of the window to see only items which you've previously downloaded.
- Re-download an app. If you want to download an app which you purchased in the past, tap the blue "Download" icon to the right of the app's name. It will begin downloading onto your iPhone or iPad.
- You may have to scan your Touch ID or enter your Apple ID password before the app will download.
EditTips
- Purchased apps will remain in this list for as long as you have your Apple ID.
EditWarnings
- Currently, there is no way to sort your list of downloaded apps into "Purchased" and "Free" categories.
- Some apps may be unavailable for download. If so, your phone might not support the newest version of the app, or the app might have been deleted from the App Store.
- Some iPad apps aren't compatible with an iPhone. If you downloaded such an app for your iPad, you'll be able to view (but not download) the app on your iPhone in the Purchased section of the App Store.
