“He’s just like me.”
The little girl and her family live in Tennessee, but she has been a patient at Shriner's Hospital in Greenville, South Carolina, since she was an infant.
Recently, a local breeder named Karen Riddle contacted the hospital, GreenvilleOnline reported.
She asked if there was anyone who may want a special white German Shepard puppy who had just been born missing a paw. She had named the puppy Lt. Dan, after the character in Forrest Gump.
